Our traditional writing desk features an ergonomic and organic shape. Geared towards traditional writing, the shape of this desk also lends itself to light computer work.
The natural ebonizing process is inspired from a traditional Japanese technique called Yakisugi for preserving Cypress wood outdoors. Accents and inlays are in sugar maple.
The burning and wire brushing process results in a pronounced yet subtle raised grain. . Woods used are Ash, with Sugar Maple legs and accents. Finished with a polymerized tung oil.
Available in black walnut, white oak, white ash, maple, and black cherry. Custom sizes and other details available please inquire for more information. We hand build each piece in approximately 12-14 weeks (rush orders are possible in certain cases).
